Outline of our various protocols surrounding fishing charters

Liability and Release Waiver

All guests and participants onboard are required to sign this waiver and participate in a mandatory safety briefing prior to proceeding on a charter.

Should you have questions or concerns, please contact us.

  • Late or No Show Policy

Timeliness allows us to deliver charters at requested times for all of our guests who make reservations. We recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes early for your charter to load the boat, conduct a safety briefing and get ready. If you are late for your scheduled departure time, we’ll shorten your charter to meet the scheduled reservation times. If you fail to show up for your reserved charter, no refund will be issued.

  • Cancellation Policy

We understand plans or circumstances change and you may need to adjust your reservation. You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before your scheduled charter time and receive a full refund (or re-book). Cancellations inside of the 24 hour period (but before your scheduled charter) will result in a 50% refund of your charter price. No refunds are available for cancellations after your reserved charter time has started.

  • Weather Policy

The Captain of the vessel has the ultimate decision regarding whether or not a charter can proceed based on the weather conditions. Generally, we will not sail if winds exceed 20 kts, waves are larger than 1 metre and in thunder / lightning. Should we cancel a charter due to weather, you’ll be given the opportunity to re-book another time or receive a refund.

  • Passenger Conduct Policy

We expect our passengers to follow all regulations of the charter, the instructions and directions issued by the crew, and treat our crew members and fellow passengers with dignity and respect at all times. Abusive language or behavour directed towards our crew members or other passengers will not be tolerated. The Captain has the sole discretion to terminate a charter due to passenger behavour without refund.

  • Photographic Policy

You are welcome to take photos and video of our vessels, crews, fish and various items throughout the charter. By participating with us, you also consent to having your photo or video taken by Orange Force Marine. By participating with us, you consent to full release of this imagery with the understanding it may be used for marketing purposes on social media or our website.

  • Privacy Policy

We take your personal information seriously. All contact information and personal details provided with your booking remains confidential and will not be shared with other businesses or organizations in accordance with the Privacy Act of Canada.

  • Food and Drink Policy

Clients are welcome to bring their own food and drink onboard for consumption during the charter.

  • Smoking and Vaping Policy

For the comfort and safety of all our passengers and crew, smoking or vaping is prohibited onboard the vessel.

  • Drugs and Alcohol Policy

The consumption of drugs or alcohol onboard our vessels and throughout the charter is prohibited.

Passengers suspected as being under the influence of drugs and alcohol will not be permitted to participate in the tour for their own safety. Passenger participation onboard is at the sole discretion of the Captain without refund.

  • COVID-19 Policy

To help protect our employees and guests, we are requiring that everyone wear a face covering that covers the mouth and nose, at all times while onboard.

We will abide by all regulations and policies issued by Transport Canada and the Government of Ontario concerning proof of vaccinations, capacity limits and COVID-19 safety policies.
